Goodbye and till we met again Cory Monteith

No… was my first word and probably yours too when finding out about Cory Monteith sudden passing. It still feels unreal, like if at any minute we wake up and this never happened… but we are not waking up, time is passing by and it starts to sink in… Cory Monteith passed away.

It’s hard to make sense of the death of anyone specially when it is so sudden and unexpected.

Today we Glee fans lost a beloved actor and we feel saddened for his sudden passing. And even though most of us fans we never met him we are in shock and heartbroken.

Let’s remember that today someone lost a son, a brother, a boyfriend, a friend… Anyone who has lost a love one before knows the pain they must be going through right now. We as fans should respect their privacy in this difficult times and give them their time and space. There is nothing we can really do, just send them our love and support (it’s is never unwanted, and sure it is never enough, specially in times like this). Our thoughts and prayers are with Cory, his family, his friends and loved ones.

I don’t want to write about Cory’s best moments or performances on Glee because everyone has its favorite ones that has special meaning to them. It’s true that we can celebrate his life by remembering his most memorable moments on the show but I feel it’s better to celebrate his life by sharing how he might have touch ours.

Even though we never met, I am grateful to have had the chance to witness Cory Monteith’s talent. He was there every week when I watch Glee, he was part of a show that encourage you to be yourself… Maybe he didn’t have the greatest voice in the world but he sang with passion and his performances were always heartfelt.

I am going to miss his “dancing moves” that always make me smile. I had the chance to go to the first Glee Concert tour with my brother and it was one of the greatest moments of my life that I will treasure forever. Thank you Cory for being there.

Thank you Cory for sharing your talent with us through Glee, sadly it was a short run but it was fun. Thank you for making us smile. You’ll be forever missed but always remember by the ones who love you and the many lives you touch without even knowing (including mine).

Goodbye Finn Hudson, goodbye new songs, goodbye new dance moves… Is it greedy to want more? Maybe, maybe not.  Cory, you gave us Finn Hudson, you sang to us, you made us smile. We wish the ride didn’t has to end this soon but it was the ride of a lifetime, you gave us so many great moments and touch so many lives. Thank you for letting us be a part of it, thank you for taking us along.

Rest in Peace Cory
