´Gleekly´Dose – News from Jan. 3rd until Jan. 16th

So a new year has began (hope you all had great holidays)… For all you gleeks out there you know we will have to wait for about a month (Feb. 6th) until we get to see a new Glee episode (highly anticipated superbowl episode). However Glee news are still appearing (now a little slower than before but still).

Here we will post all the Glee news we can find that we think you might find interesting, relevant, funny, curious, entertaining, etc…

Jan. 16th:

  • Glee just won 3 Golden Globes: Best Television Series Comedy or Musical, Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (Jane Lynch) and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (Chris Colfer). I´ll be posting videos from the Golden Globe tomorrow.

Jan. 15th:

  • Interview with some of the Glee stars from TCA.



Jan. 12th:

  • Cory Monteith is featured in Cosmopolitan’s Fun Fearless Males 2011. Speaking of Cory Monteith here are two videos of his band Bonnie Dune.




  • Yesterday was the TCA and they had a Glee themed party. As soon as I find some videos about it I’ll post them, in the meantime here you can fin some photos.


  • Glee will have its own nail polish line. The limited edition nail color colecttion will be in stores in Febuary under the beuty retailer’s Sephora by OPI brand. The seven shades available take their names from the hit Fox TV show about a high school glee club: Slushied, an opaque blue; Hell to the No, a bold purple; Gleek Out, a lime, glittery green; Diva-in-Training, a poppy pink; Who Let the Dorks Out, a peacock green; Miss Bossy Pants, a rich raspberry, and Mash-Up, a pearlescent green gray.   • Ryan Murphy is nominated for a Director’s Guild Award in the Comedy Series category for “Glee’s” Madonna episode. Source 1 and Source 2

  • Cory Monteith’s band Bonnie Dune playing at The Roxy this past weekend. Glee costars in attendance were Mark Salling, Chord Overstreet, Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale as well as his Monte Carlo costar Selena Gomez. Source

Jan. 10th:

Jan. 9th:

Jan. 6th:

  • Glee wins People’s Choice favorite TV Comedy and Favorite Comedy Actress (Jane Lynch)



  • Darren Criss will make an appearance at The Glee Project (Oxygen Network) casting calls in Dallas/Forth Worth on January 8 and 9.

  • Glee superbowl episode will be longer than normal. According to a new report, posted on Sunday, the highly anticipated show will have limited commercials. The show is sponsored by General Motors, thus allowing for fewer spots from other competing ads. This will allow for about ten extra minutes of footage.


  • Glee is nominated for a PGA Award (Producers Guild  of America). The Danny Thomas Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television Comedy is their nomination. They are against 30 Rock, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Modern Family and The Office. Full list here
