´Gleekly´Dose – News from Dec. 21st until Dec. 30th

So Glee production is on holiday hiatus and the next new episode is going to be on Feb after the superbowl… so we have a long time to wait. However Glee news are still everywhere, so gleeks out there enjoy another Gleekly Dose – News.

Dec. 30th:

  • So Fox promo for New Year 2011. There is some Glee in the promo (maybe some California Girls…)

  • New Kristin Chenoweth interview with Los Angeles Times where she talks about Promises Promises on Broadway, her concert tomorrow for New Year in LA at Disney Hall, her new album and more Glee. Read the interview here

Dec. 29th:

  • Harry Shum Jr. stars in the short film 3 minutes. Here is the teaser.

  • 10 Things you didn´t know about Chord Overstreet.

  • Great discount prices on a lot of dvds and blurays on Amazon and Target, including Glee´s First Complete Season (you can get it for around $14.00).

Dec. 23rd:

  • Don´t forget to watch Amber Riley perform at Disney´s Parks Christmas Day Parade. I airs at 12pm on ABC on Saturday, Dec. 25th.

  • Iqbal Theba promotes Stars for Hope Campaign. Stars for Hope is an awareness campaign started by leaders of the Pakistani-American community to raise funds for the Pakistani flood relief fund. There will be a Stars for Hope celebrity fundraiser event thrown by OPEN Chicago on Jan 16th, 2011, in Chicago. To learn more about this foundation and how you can help go to: StarsforHope.org

  • Jane Lynch on The View today. It was her first appearance on this morning show.

  • Matthew Morrison´s Album Teaser (don´t forget he will release his album next year as well as going on tour).

  • E! Online did a countdown of the Top 10 Glee performances of 2010. Check out the list here and see if your favorite performances made it to the top.

  • Glee is feature in TV Squad´s Best and Worst of TV in 2010. They have the best guest spot (Gwyneth Paltrow) and the worst example of avoiding a sophomore slump. Read about it here

  • A couple of many videos found in YouTube of Darren Criss singing at The Roxy on Dec.18th. In attendance were Glee stars Matthew Morrison and Max Adler.

Dec. 19th:

  • Once again Dianna Agron, a good friend and tireless supporter of 826LA (a non-profit writing and tutoring center for children) is partnering up with them for this Christmas. She has delivered a stack of books signed by herself and colleagues from the Glee. Be sure to go 826LA to get more information about this organization and the Ebay pages to bid on your favorite book signed by a Glee cast member.

Dec. 18th:

  • The amazing Julie Andrews as Kurt´s grandma? That is at least what Chris Colfer wants and we agree! He says: I´m pretty sure I´ve been obnoxious enough now that she knows that I want her. I think they just have to write it for her. Remember that Anne Hathaway said she would love to play Kurt´s aunt… well that would be one awesome family! Source

  • Glee´s reality TV spinoff, The Glee Project, that will air on the Oxygen network next summer is attracting hundreds of hopefuls to try out. To find out more about the auditions go to The Glee Project website. Source

  • Here is an interesting interview with Kristin Chenoweth also known to most gleeks as April Rhodes. She talks about her return to Glee and also her future tv plans with Ryan Murphy.

Dec. 17th:

  • 20th Century Fox Television´s Glee holiday video card featuring Dana Walden and Gary Newman and Glee´s Jane Lynch and Matthew Morrison. It was written by Ian Brennan and directed by Ryan Murphy.

  • MTV´s The Seven exclusive videos with pre Glee Lea Michele.

  • Glee Cast: Backstage at the Hollywood Style Awards. They talked about the entire cast and crew will be playing secret Santa.

  • Heather Morris´interviews about Flirt! Cosmetics. She talks about the cosmetic line, her character Brittany on Glee. Also about Gwyneth Paltrow and Buffy reboot.
