- Andy Whitfield, the original star of Starz’s Spartacus: Blood and Sand period drama, died on Sunday of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. The actor was 39. Our condolences go to his family and friends. Source
- Michael J. Fox is returning to The Good Wife this season for a sizeable run. He will reprise his role as Alicia’s morally flexible nemesis Louis Canning for “three or four episodes,” executive producer Robert King confirms. Source
- Prison Break‘s Wentworth Miller has booked a guest stint on House. He will appear as a patient of the week in an episode that takes place after Dr. House gets sprung from jail. Source

- Scrubs Sarah Chalke is joining ABC’s Cougar Town for a major arc as a love interest for Brian Van Holt’s Bobby. The gig reunites Chalke with her former Scrubs boss (and C-Town co-creator) Bill Lawrence. Her character, Angie, is described as a natural beauty with a cool vibe who meets Bobby through his son Travis (she’s his photography professor at college). Source

- After ordering Once Upon a Time to series for this fall, Disney-owned ABC is staying in a fairytale mode by putting Beauty and the Beast in development for next season. Written by Jericho co-creator Jonathan E. Steinberg, the drama project is described as an epic fantasy re-imagining of the classic Beauty and the Beast tale. Source
