Alicia and Caitlin (Anna Camp) represent the prof in a suit against Louis Canning (Emmy nominee Michael J. Fox) and his firm. Source

- Peter Gallagher — who played easygoing do-gooder dad Sandy Cohen on The O.C. — has been cast for a guest shot on NBC’s Whitney. Gallagher, who currently stars on the USA series Covert Affairs, will play the father to Whitney Cummings’ title character in an as-yet-to-be scheduled episode of the freshman sitcom. Source
- CSI has tapped TV’s go-to scoundrel, Titus Welliver (Sons of Anarchy, The Good Wife, Lost), to play a villainous new foe to Russell and Co. in multiple episodes. Welliver’s character, John, is a slick, arrogant and powerful military contractor who is questioned about his company’s role in a recent arms theft. Although cooperative, Russell suspects John knows more than he’s letting on. The role is the centerpiece of a major storyline that sources say ties into the looming departure of Marg Helgenberger’s Catherine. Annabeth Gish was just cast Cat’s old friend and the suspicious, fearful wife of Welliver’s John. Source
- NBC’s Community — which last year defied convention by doing a Christmas-themed stop-motion animated installment —this season a musical episode. The episode finds the study group being forced to fill in for Greendale’s glee club during the always-busy holiday season. Source
