Ratings Highlights of the Week

  • On Tuesday October 26th, NBC continues to loose steam with declining The Biggest Loser with 6.74 million viewers and 2.4/6 adults 18-49 (8-10pm), and family drama Parenthood which was only watched by 4.92 million and 2.0/6 adults 18-49.
  • Wednesday October 27th was a great night for ABC. The network’s comedy lineup was above average with The Middle (9.43 million; 2.8/9) at 8pm, Better With You (7.76 million; 2.5/7) at 8:30pm, Modern Family (13.07 million; 5.1/13) at 9pm and Cougar Town (8.26 million; 3.3/9)at 9:30pm. Modern Family reached a series high in viewers.


  • HBO has greenlit “Veep,” a Washington DC-based comedy pilot about a female vice president. Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus is in talks to play the lead role.
  • Scott Foley has booked a multi episode arc on ABC’s medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, He will play a patient named Henry who’s storyline involves Kim Raver’s Teddy.
  • HBO announced Big Love’s fifth season will be its last.  The polygamy drama’s fifth season will premiere Sunday, Jan. 16  2010.
  • Balthazar Getty is returning to Brothers and Sisters in the drama’s 100th episode. The episode is set to air on January 2011.
  • Medium’s season episode order has been cut from 22 to 13 episodes.
  • SyFy canceled Caprica, the low rated prequel to Battlestar Galactica.
