  • TNT has ordered a second season of Falling Skies, the alien-invasion drama from Steven Spielberg and DreamWorks TV that premiered last month. The series, starring Noah Wyle, has averaged 6.4 million total viewers in its first three episodes.The network has ordered 10 episodes for Season 2, which is slated to air in summer 2012. Source
  • Jason Ritter will reprise his role as Mark, the on-again/off-again love interest of Lauren Graham’s Sarah, on Parenthood for multiple episodes. Also NBC’s production company, Universal Media Studios, has also signed him to a development deal to star in a new series from Parenthood and Friday Night Lights boss Jason Katims. Source
  • Angel’s Charisma Carpenter will guest star on USA Network’s Burn Notice, TVLine has learned exclusively. She will appear n this season’s 11th episode as Nicki, a sharp-tongued, high-maintenance trophy wife whose not-so-better half, a bioweapons engineer, is a wanted man in cahoots with the Russians.   • Elizabeth Hurley will guest star on Gossip Girl for a multi-episode arc. She will play Diana Payne, “a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with. Diana’s entrance on the Upper East Side will change the lives of all our characters. Source
  • The cast of Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea — Chelsea Handler’s new semi-autobiographical NBC sitcom is shrinking. Nearly half of the actors— including White Collar alum Natalie Morales, one-time ER nurse Angel Laketa Moore, and Chelsea Lately staple Jo Koy — have been let go. Source
