  • Modern Family has casted Wiseguy’s Jonathan Banks to play Jay’s (Ed O’Neill) brother. His character is described as a working class lunk of a guy who’s more comfortable communicating with his fists than his mouth. Banks character, Tommy, will reunite with his brother in an episode set to air in February or March. Source
  • The Green Mile‘s actor Michael Clarke Duncan has been tapped to co-star in Fox’s proposed Bones spinoff, which will be introduced in Episode 19 this season. The spinoff, based on The Locator series of two books written by Richard Greener, centers on Walter Sherman aka “the Locator” (the role is still being cast), a former military policeman who can find anything. Duncan will play Walter’s partner Leo, a tough, raw-hide cowboy philosopher. Source
  • Regis Philbin announced on Tuesday morning that he will be leaving Live! With Regis and Kelly sometime this summer. Source

Ratings Highlights of the Week

  • On Monday January 17th 2011, all four of CBS’s Monday comedies delivered season highs in total viewers this week: How I Met Your Mother (10.51 million viewers and 3.9 in the demo), Rules of Engagement (9.9 million and 3.2), Two and a Half Men (15.6 million, 4.6 demo) and Mike & Molly(13 million, 3.8 demo). In the 10 o’clock hour, the premiere of NBC’s Harry’s Law courted nearly 11 million total viewers. Source
