- Ryan Phillippe has landed the leading role in CBS’ untitled pilot from Greg Berlanti. Formerly known as Golden Boy, the one-hour drama chronicles one cop’s meteoric rise from officer to detective to Police Commissioner. The actor, who will next appear on Damages, will play the young and ambitious new officer. Source
- Fox has picked up a family comedy from How I Met Your Mother executive producers Carter Bays, Craig Thomas and Chris Harris, to star Ugly Betty Becki Newton — who happens to start an arc on the CBS sitcom this Monday. The Goodwin Games is described as a single-camera comedy about three siblings who must reconnect in order to inherit their recently-deceased father’s fortune. Newton will play one of the children.
