  • The Good Wife Alan Cumming’s sometime costar and real-life BFF Parker Posey has been tapped to play the never-before-seen estranged wife of his campaign strategist character Eli Gold. Source
  • Singer Josh Groban has been tapped to play the brother of Ed Helms’ character Andy Bernard on the long-running NBC comedy series The Office. Source
  • The Mentalist has chosen Melrose Place‘s Michael Rady as the new head of the CBI. Rady will play Luther Wainwright, the very educated, fresh-faced special agent in charge of Jane & Co. Although he has very little field experience under his belt, Wainwright’s a fast learner and will eventually be able to go toe-to-toe with PJ. Source
  • Courteney Cox is making her TV directing debut this season on Cougar Town. Cox will step behind the camera for an upcoming episode from Season 3, which will return midseason Tuesdays at 9/8c on ABC. Source
  • TNT has ordered a fifth season of Leverage. that’s currently averaging 4.8 million viewers, up 10% over season three. Source
  • Parks and Recreation has cast longtime Saturday Night Live writer/guest star Paula Pell to play the original Tammy in Ron’s life — his mother. Source
  • ABC’s new fairy tale fantasy Once Upon a Time has found its Cinderella. Starlet Jessy Schram (Falling Skies) has landed the princessly role. The show premieres Sunday, Oct. 23, at 8/7c on ABC. Source
  • U.S. Marshal drama In Plain Sight too will be coming to an end. The network has ordered an eight-episode fifth and final season to air in the spring. Source
  • Bobby Cannavale has joined Showtime’s dark comedy series Nurse Jackie. He will appear in all 10 episodes of the show’s upcoming fourth season playing a formidable hospital administrator sent by the new conglomerate that buys the financially beleaguered All Saint’s Hospital to improve efficiency and profitability.   • Former Malcolm In the Middle star Jane Kaczmarek has joined the cast of NBC’s upcoming comedy series Whitney as a recurring. Created by Whitney Cummings, the multicamera comedy revolves around Whitney (Cummings) and Alex (Chris D’Elia), a happily unmarried couple. Kaczmarek will play Whitney’s outspoken mom who has been married several times. Source
