More changes are coming to the famous singing competition tv show ‘American Idol’. Not only they have added new judges (Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez) they are also bringing the change to the competition itself.

It have been reported that the show will no longer have the Top 24 stage, it will go instantly to the Top 12. However they don’t know yet if the Top 12 will be selected by the judges or by voting, those details are still in the works.

This tenth season the contestants will face some challenges in order to reveal whether they are true artists or not. So they will be signing, making music videos to promote themselves, designing their own performance by working with the band and the dancers.

So will all these new changes bring ‘American Idol’ the success of previous years? Will this new format help them find better singers?

Also it will not longer air in its traditional Tuesday Wednesday configuration it will instead air Wednesday and Thursday nights (Fox finally moves ‘American Idol’ to Thursdays).
