TV News: Medium is Officially Canceled by CBS

Medium series creator Glenn Gordon Caron confirmed via Facebook what star Patricia Arquette already said this last weekend: CBS has canceled the seven year old drama.

Through Medium’s Facebook page, “It’s true,” he wrote. “Allison Dubois will dream her last dream on Medium Friday, January 21st. In what we believe will be a series defining episode, Allison and her family will stare destiny in the eye. And destiny will not blink.”

CBS cut the episodic order on Medium from 22 to 13 last month. The drama will produce a total of 130 episodes. Medium has aired from 2005 Its first 5 season (2005-2009) were broadcasted by NBC, before it wasn’t renewed by the network. However, CBS (2009-2011), whose production company produced the series, renewed the show for a full, 22-episode, sixth season; where the show has aired its sixth, and seventh and last season. The drama stars Patricia Arquette as Allison Dubois, a medium who works as a consultant for the Phoenix, Arizona district attorney’s office and husband of Joe, both parents to three daughters, all of whom inherited the gift.
