The nominations for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards were announced on Tuesday, Jan. 25 by academy president Tom Sherak and last year’s Best Supporting Actress Mo’Nique (“Precious”).
The King’s Speech leads the 83rd Academy Awards with 12 nominations. It will compete for best picture alongside Black Swan, The Fighter, Inception, The Kids Are All Right, 127 Hours, The Social Network, Toy Story 3, True Grit and Winter’s Bone. True Grit collected the second-highest total of nominations 10. The Social Network and Inception collected 8 nominations.
