For this week’s Fun TV Fact, we continue with Emmy awards facts that you may or may not know. There are so many characters on TV that you will remember forever and will always be loved by the TV audience and fans, but sometime the actors who portrayed them did not have the same love and luck at the Emmy awards. They had been nominated multiple times but lost all of them. So TV Fun Facts asks: ”Who is the biggest loser as a performer at the Emmys?” The possible options are below.

Hugh Laurie, Angela Lansbury, Steve Carrell, Elizabeth Montgomery, Jerry Seinfeld

The correct answer is…

Angela Lansbury

That’s the right answer.

Angela Lansbury as Jessica Fletcher in Murder, She Wrote (Universal Television)

Angela Lansbury, he amazing actress famously known on TV for her portrayal as mystery writer/crime solver Jessica Fletcher, on Murder She Wrote (1984-1996). She has been nominated 18 times. 12 nominations were for each season of the detective drama, but unfortunately lost every one. However, she has won 5 Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress – Television Series Drama (1985, 1987, 1990, 1992). Let’s hope that the Emmy Awards reward her in the near future for a very too late award recognition.

Michael Scott may have been the star of The Office for 7 seasons, but he was not lucky with the Emmys. Steve Carrell was nominated for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series 6 times (2006-2011) with zero wins.

House ended this May after 8 seasons, but Hugh Laurie has lost all 6 nominations. However he won the Golden Globe for Lead Actor – Drama 2 times.

Jerry Seinfeld may have the Emmy as an executive producer for the NBC sitcom Seinfeld in 1993, but despite playing himself on the show, he lost each of his 5 nominations as Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (1992-1996)

Samantha Stephens is probably the most known TV witch and a powerful one, but she did not have the magic to win one Emmy. Elizabeth Montgomery had 9 nominations as a performer, 5 of them for the show Bewitched (1966-1970).

Did you know the answer? I think Angela Lansbury and the other four actors should have won at least an Emmy for portraying such iconic characters, Do you agree? Share you thoughts.
