Showtime’s new drama Homeland made a strong debut at the Writers Guild of America Awards 2012, scoring 3 nominations: for best drama series, best new series and best episodic drama. Homeland tied awards heavyweights Modern Family, Breaking Bad and Boardwalk Empire for the most nominations at the WGA Awards.
Modern Family‘s 3 nominations include the Steve Levitan-Jeff Richman episode Caught In The Act, which won the comedy series writing Emmy Award in September. Showtime logged a total of 6 WGA nominations.
