American Horror Story, Game of Thrones and 30 Rock Lead the 2013 Primetime Emmy Nominations

Emmy-Awards-statuetteNominations for the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were announced on Thursday, July 18. American Horror Story (17 nominations), Game of Thrones (15 nominations), Behind the Candelabra and Saturday Night Live (15 nominations each), Breaking Bad and 30 Rock (13 nominations each) lead the Emmy Awards. Modern Family received 12 nominations, with five of its six adult cast members, plus The Big Bang Theory got 8 nominations.

Winners will be revealed during the Sunday, Sept. 22 ceremony from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles beginning at 5:00 pm PT and airing live on CBS.
